Villa Interior Design Timeline: What to Expect

Villa interior projects move through four broad phases: consultation and space planning, concept and 3D visualization, production and joinery, and finally installation and handover.

The consultation phase usually takes one to two weeks and includes a site visit, measurement, and a discussion of budget, lifestyle, and material preferences. This is also when mood boards and reference imagery are gathered.

Concept and 3D visualization typically runs two to three weeks. This is the stage most homeowners find most enjoyable — reviewing rendered walkthroughs of the space, adjusting layouts, and finalising material and furniture selections before anything is ordered.

Production, including custom joinery such as wardrobes and kitchen cabinetry, is the longest phase — generally six to nine weeks depending on complexity. Off-the-shelf furniture ships in parallel to keep the overall timeline tight.

Installation and handover is scheduled as a single coordinated week wherever possible, minimising disruption to the household and allowing the full space to be styled and reviewed together.
